I have followed Alicia from her previous worksites to Spectrum Salon, where she is now the owner. I simply will not have anyone else cut my hair. She has offered suggestions for variations to style throughout my many years as a client, as her expertise and knowledge of her craft is always up to date. Alicia pays attention to detail on every haircut and I never feel rushed or that she is in any way distracted. Completely attentive and friendly. The facility is modern and absolutely spotless and appointments are easily booked. My highest recommendation!

Wonderful experience. The shampoo/head massage was incredible and set the tone for a relaxing appointment. I showed Alicia several different haircuts that I’d be interested in and she took the best parts of each to give me a haircut that framed my face beautifully. The whole experience was “above and beyond.” This will be my go-to salon from now on.

I’ve been to NY salons, & Spectrum supersedes them! The ambiance is relaxing & is an antidote to the hectic gossipy local salons . No drama, just focus on customer satisfaction. Alissa is highly skilled, John is a pleasant receptionist, & CJ is very pleasant. The art & music create a spa-like atmosphere. John’s pottery is superb. Alissa’s shampoo includes an amazing head massage with hot towels. My entire family goes there since I discovered it.

What a great gem to find in New Haven! The staff are incredibly friendly and really do their utmost best to make you feel pampered. Alicia cut my hair and did a fabulous job. It’s honestly the best haircut I have ever gotten. But, her amazing job did not just end with the cut, itself. When she washed my hair, it was basically equivalent to a short head massage. Aside from the amazing haircut and wash, the atmosphere and setting are great. If you like to listen to good jazz while getting your hair fix, then this is your place. And they take the utmost caution and care if you are concerned about COVID. Alicia wore a mask and face shield. I will definitely be returning; no questions about it!

Oh. Wow. Just what the doctor ordered for this stressed Mom of 5 ND kiddos!!! Alicia was AMAZING!! Her care & attention were just what I needed!! Her shampoo experience (& it TRULY is an experience) alone is worth the trip in!! It was like visiting a mini head spa!! The hot towel on my neck & her skilled hands massaging my scalp were so relaxing!! Her cut was on point (no pun intended, lol)! And topping it off with a little styling made me feel so special!! I'll be back! And definitely sharing!!

Alysia and staff are absolutely amazing. I have been to every hair salon and I have never been this happy. Her blowouts are amazing. Her level of professionalism quality and care shines through every time I go to her I am never disappointed. She brings my hair back to life and I get the most compliments I’ve ever gotten. I have tried numerous hair stylists in Greater New Haven, from super cuts to very upscale expensive places, and this one beats them all. Thank you Alicia for a wonderful hair cut and and for pampering me with your head wash. I will certainly be back!

I have dense, straight and coarse hair. I really like what Alisa did with my hair. She brought out the natural wave and made my hair easy to manage at the same time. Very happy to find them. Also loved the potteries, paintings etc throughout the salon made by John. Highly recommend.

I love the time I spend in this salon. High level of professionalism. Alicia listens to the client's wishes and creates a miracle. Classical music sets the mood for relaxation and pleasure. I'm happy to visit the Spectrum salon!

Alicia is amazing. The calming playlist and her extra extraordinary hair wash created the most luxurious spa experience. I showed her a picture of my desired hairstyle and was blown away by how perfect it came out. I highly recommend spectrum.
